Dr. Irma Maldonado-Enriquez, is a bilingual (Spanish/English), licensed, clinical psychologist with over 20 years of professional experience in the field of mental health. Dr. Irma earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount St. Mary’s University and subsequently obtained both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Since 2006, Dr. Irma has served as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology.

Dr. Irma’s professional background includes extensive experience in crisis response and the psychological evaluation of individuals within the County of Los Angeles, as well as the clinical assessment and treatment of children and teens presenting with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. She also provided comprehensive psychological services to children within the Los Angeles County foster care system, addressing the complex needs associated with trauma and attachment disruption. In addition, she possess significant expertise in conducting psychological assessment and psychotherapy with Spanish-speaking adults coping with trauma and a broad spectrum of mental health concerns. Throughout her career, Dr. Irma has facilitated supportive, psycho-educational, and therapeutic groups designed to meet the emotional and developmental needs of individuals across the lifespan.

Dr. Irma’s clinical specialization encompasses the comprehensive treatment of the individual—mind, body, and spirit—across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, interpersonal difficulties, and LGBTQIA concerns. Dr. Irma is committed to providing evidence-based, integrative psychotherapy within a supportive, respectful, culturally sound, and client-centered framework. She draws from a broad range of therapeutic modalities, such as, CBT, Somatic Experiencing, Humanistic, Family Systems and EMDR, and tailors each intervention to meet the distinct needs and goals of each client.
